Mission Sustainability

Young people taking part in a FRIENDLYMONSTERS project are given the chance to design and make creative, multifunctional sculptures, all under the professional guidance of the wood sculptor Joerg Schulze. PlayArt-Ensembles are created out of oversized wooden sculptures made of oak trunks and in vibrant colours. It is the young people who design and create a part of their environment, not only practically and physically but also in essence and spirit. In a playful manner they gain experience and knowledge of a wide variety of woodworking skills, helping them develop their own identity and gain qualifications, thus helping them orientate themselves in the world of work.
