Mission Sustainability

With no traditions to guide our wedding in January, planning is that much harder. So we thought it's a nice day for a green wedding...

Requests for recycled invitation paper were met with "Do you mean recycled look paper?" I realised we'd set ourselves quite a task.

Vegetarian food will be served on banana leaves, public transport routes marked on the wedding map, the reception and ceremony will be within walking distance. We will use homegrown flowers, local wine and home brewed beer. My sister will carbon offset flights as our gift.

Weddings are very personal, so we want to express our values of simplicity and elegance. It will look like a traditional white wedding, but guests will be green with envy!
