A thought-provocing boardgame around climate change,
energy efficiency and sustainability

The Idea of the game is to widen environmental awareness towards a globally oriented consciousness. This shall include the relations between global warming, energy options, greenhouse effect and natural disasters.
All of us are facing worldwide one basic question: Will the world community, the “human family”, be capable of reducing the forseen greenhousegas emissions around 50 % up to 2050?
Indeed, exactly this is the question in this (simulations-)game, too!

Die Beschreibung des Spiels lässt Gutes erwarten. Ich kann mir nur wünschen, dass die Menschen, die gerne Brettspiele spielen, hier zugreifen und ihr Denken und Handeln davon beeinflussen lassen.
Hoffentlich kaufen das nicht nur die "Ökos", sondern auch die "Otto Normalkonsumenten"!

The prototype of "Cooling down!" is ready, tests are sucessful, a german publisher is waiting - now we are looking to some more globally oriented logos (!) and sustainable guided sponsors (!!).
The world has still to wait...

Cooling down - Let's learn it!
Learning by playing is sometimes more efficiently than learning by doing. In this case the experience by doing will become negative and awful. So it will be time to carry this game to the market. At the best in several languages as soon as possible.

It is a great game. Would be really great when it can be played in the schools, to improve awareness of our earth and global warming.

it's a good idea and the
it's a good idea and the game should be made really very simple so that it can also be used in developing countries. I worked with a design student in Bangalore India who also developed an idea of this sort but as a computer game. Can she get in touch with you and discuss her idea? Guess the interaction will help her lot.

We will coming up with a longer version soon.
Young people, from 12 years onwards, played "Cooling down!" - I think only a traditional boardgame will improve communication and interaction and insofar social intergration more than quick but isolated clic-routines on the PC - very sorry!
"Cooling down!" will help - a little bit - to close the consciousness-gap between the people in developing countries and people in "western" States, it will be a didactical based learngame focussed to get a feeling, what does it really mean, to work as worldfamily to cure "Brother atmosphere" - as we learned in the Vedanta!
In January I am back in India, Auroville.
